Keep the current task description truthful
Identify the applicant’s remaining analytical responsibility and any other duties without assuming either that all implementation work is excluded or that a statistical label covers every task. Resolve the profession match and applicable process before the work begins; a reporting deadline does not guarantee admission.
A Canadian citizen may request TN admission at an eligible port of entry or preclearance location, or a prospective employer may file Form I-129, but neither option converts incomplete licensing or certification into permission to practise. Sequence the analysis before the first productive US workday: identify the professional category, assemble the employer record, choose the appropriate entry or petition route, and obtain the required permission. TN is granted for a period not exceeding three years and can be extended or a new admission sought, but each renewal is decided on the duties as they then stand, which on a long construction project are rarely the duties described at the outset.
