Explain the profession behind the job label
Mathematician includes Statistician in the list. Show the applicant’s responsibility for methods, assumptions and interpretation rather than describing only a reporting tool. Canadian or Mexican citizenship, qualifying prearranged professional activity and temporary entry remain necessary; a useful business forecast does not by itself establish every condition.
When the duties described lean toward management, sales engineering, or a hybrid role, ask whether the offer letter can be rewritten to reflect the technical core of the position more accurately, or whether the position genuinely falls outside the profession. Several entries accept a post-secondary diploma or certificate together with three years of experience, one accepts five years of experience in the field as an alternative to a degree, and others, including Engineer, name a degree or a licence and stop there. The practical fix costs nothing: ask the employer for a letter that states the position is an engineering role, describes engineering duties in concrete terms, and notes the internal administrative title separately if payroll requires it.
