List the intended joining family
Each eligible joining spouse or unmarried child under 21 currently adds US$15,000 processing and a US$1 million gift, including corporate cases. Initial inclusion is recommended. Other relatives are not included merely because the employer calls its benefit a family package.
For a program whose terms are recent, those answers must come from the official materials, and where the materials do not address a family situation the household should treat that as an open question to be resolved before payment rather than after. Record each proposed joining person’s identity, relationship, date of birth, marital status, current location, passport, and possible visa-availability issue. An already granted permanent resident status is not automatically cancelled by a later birthday or marriage; that differs from determining a pending derivative child’s eligibility. Before acting, confirm the recipient, amount, timing, and family member covered by the actual instruction; a payment decision and an immigration eligibility decision remain separate.
