The larger cost of the petition route is preparation: assembling the support letter, degree evaluation, organizational documents and any explanation of a staffing structure takes professional hours that the border route mostly avoids. The credentialing organisation charges separately for the health care worker certificate and for the credential review that supports it, and transcripts and licence verifications sent directly by institutions each carry a charge. Where a credential evaluation may be needed, obtain a written view first on whether an evaluation would actually resolve the mismatch for this specific profession, because evaluations differ in scope and one prepared for a licensing body may not address the question at hand.
