Trace a requirement into a system decision
Describe how the applicant investigates users’ needs, evaluates the existing system and recommends functional changes. Identify any programming or support work honestly. A list of programming languages does not explain systems analysis; conversely, a technical deliverable should not be stripped of its actual duties merely to resemble a category.
Use the listed credential alternatives
Computer Systems Analyst lists a baccalaureate or licenciatura degree, or a qualifying post-secondary diploma or certificate plus three years of experience. A diploma means at least two years of post-secondary education at an accredited Canadian or U.S. institution; the certificate alternative has specified Mexican government or recognized-institution issuance requirements and at least two years of study. Credentials from institutions outside Canada, Mexico and the United States require a reliable foreign-credential evaluation.
Confirm the complete professional arrangement
Canadian or Mexican citizenship, prearranged qualifying professional work and temporary entry remain necessary. The employer may be U.S. or foreign. Services to a U.S. entity solely owned or controlled by the applicant are prohibited TN self-employment; foreign business ownership alone is not a blanket exclusion.
The employer letter must describe professional practice
The letter should state the profession by its listed name, describe duties that are forestry duties, such as inventory, harvest planning, regeneration assessment and compliance with state forest-practice rules, and give the location, remuneration and intended length of stay. Management Consultant can be reached through five years of relevant work, and Scientific Technician or Technologist is reached through theoretical knowledge plus demonstrated ability rather than through any particular credential. Review the exact profession entry, credential evidence and any applicable health-worker or licensing process together, without assuming that a hospital’s hiring approval settles immigration or practice permission. A first review normally identifies the transcript, credential assessment, licence, or employment record that resolves each qualification issue and exposes a mismatch before travel is planned. If the position materially combines surveying with structural design or engineering, the application must describe those duties accurately and establish the listed profession and qualification rule on which TN classification is sought. A Canadian applicant may ask CBP for TN admission at a border crossing or preclearance facility; alternatively, the U.S. employer can submit Form I-129 to USCIS. Canadian citizens generally request TN classification at inspection or preclearance; an employer can instead pursue the appropriate USCIS petition process. The applicant should also warn the institution promptly about a changed departure date, a delayed credential evaluation or a family circumstance that moves the start, because an institution told late may already have offered the position to someone else.
Keep translation separate from credential evaluation
Present the documents so the connection is obvious without narration: the original diploma, the transcript, the registrar's letter identifying the predecessor and the merger, and any translation or evaluation with its source document attached. Institutions typically hold several records beyond the transcript: a degree conferral or completion letter on registrar letterhead, a certified statement naming the credential and the date awarded, the diploma itself, and in some cases a verifiable online credential record. If the award was issued under an older program name, obtain a registrar letter that connects the historical name, credential, program length and completion date. Meeting the TN credential rule also does not provide every licence needed to practise in the U.S. jurisdiction.
